An ideal fighter's body is ripped and ready to respond

Long, lean and ripped – that’s the typical Thai Boxer’s physique. And what’s ticking up there is equally important. The fighter’s mind is as sharp as a tack, ready to respond to any kick, parry, block or flying elbow headed their way, because a moment’s hesitation can result in a KO.

But even without competing, Thai Boxing is a challenging workout for the mind and body which can give a great deal of satisfaction – if you are prepared to go the distance.

For the average desk-bound professional, there’s nothing like burning off those fast-food lunches as well as the boardroom stress by hitting some bags, or a few rounds of fast-paced padwork with Jai’s trainers. We find an easy way to settle disagreements is by having a few (supervised) rounds of sparring with your colleagues (or boss!) and then going for a drink afterwards.

At Jai we frown heavily on unnecessary violence, but believe it is important to know how to throw a kick, punch or elbow in self-defence, should the need ever arise. This is why all of Jai’s staff are sticklers for technique – having learned the art of Thai Boxing in Thailand.
