Ladies Classes - check it out!

We resisted the idea of having a ladies Muay Thai class for a long time - not because we thought it was a bad idea, but simply because we believed JAI provided a friendly environment where all genders would be comfortable training together.
And if this was the case, is there really a need for a gender-specific class?
We were wrong.
We were projecting how WE thought our customers would feel, rather than putting ourselves in their shoes.

And while it's true that most of our female regulars are comfortable in mixed classes, what about the other members who didn't feel confident enough to get that point yet? Or stopped coming because their female training buddy couldn't come with them, or a guy kicked them too hard and they were too shy to speak up for fear of looking soft.

Or the women who were dying to do Muay Thai, but due to a raft of reasons nervous about partnering up with a guy due . A class where they could put some of those worries aside and learn proper Muay Thai (while meeting other like-minded women) could be the little nudge they need to get started on their journey.
JAI has always been about meeting our customer's needs, to the best of our abilities. We just don't always have the resources. But when our trainer Maggie made time, our top level became available (check our our new mats!) and we finally had the resources - it was time to kick start the ladies sessions.
In order to make it as welcoming to newcomers as possible, we will be keeping it beginner friendly - but who knows, down the line, we may include ladies sparring and skills sessions.
So whaddaya waiting for? Mon, Tues 5.30pm and Sundays 10.15am - see you there!
